Behind the Scenes with Louise Emery
Tuesday, November 07, 2006There are many faces that we are familiar with in the world of windsurfing; the household names whose faces adorn the magazines and appear in all the videos. And largely those people are those that are extremely good at their sport, compete regularly, run clinics for a living and are generally very good at self promotion. But windsurfing like any sport has it unsung heroes, those who work hard behind the scenes to bring windsurfing to our doorsteps and make it accessible to the likes of you and me. One such person is Louise Emery. You may have heard her name from time to time if you follow the UK ladies windsurfing scene in which this lady has had a lot of success, but you may also recognise the name if you have ever visited Boardseekermag, the online windsurfing and kite magazine. Louise is its Editor. A strong presence in this industry I thought it was time we turned the tables and asked HER some questions for a change and boy did we get some frank answers..
